How Houston Lone Star Diaper Bank Diaper Days Work

If you've visited our Facebook page or sent us a message, you've probably noticed that one of the most common questions we receive is:

"How do I register for Diaper Day?"

The good news is that our process is simple!

Unlike many assistance programs, Houston Lone Star Diaper Bank does not have an ongoing registration program. Instead, each Diaper Day is a FREE ticketed event, and every event requires a new ticket.

Here's how it works.

Step 1: Get Your FREE Ticket

Tickets are released 7 days before each Diaper Day and are available online only through the Events page on our website.

Our diaper kits are prepared based on the number of tickets reserved, so getting a ticket helps us make sure we have enough supplies for everyone attending.

Step 2: Reserve Your Diaper Size

When you reserve your free ticket, you'll also select the diaper size you need.

Your ticket reserves that diaper size for you, so when you arrive at the event, your kit will already be prepared.

If you arrive without a ticket, you're still welcome to attend only between 12pm and 1pm on the day, but we cannot guarantee that diapers—or the size you need—will still be available.

Step 3: Come to Diaper Day

On the day of the event, simply bring:

Your government-issued photo ID.
The name on your ID must match the name on your ticket.

That's all you need!

You do not need to bring any paperwork, proof of income, or other documents.

You also do not need to bring your child or children with you.

Step 4: Pick Up Your Kit

When you arrive, one of our volunteers will check your name off our attendance list and hand you your diaper kit.

The entire process is designed to be quick, easy, and respectful of your time.

How Do I Know If I'm Registered?

If you have a ticket, you're registered!

After completing your free ticket order, your ticket will be emailed to you. Keep that email and bring your government-issued photo ID to Diaper Day.

Remember: A New Ticket Is Needed Every Month

Each Diaper Day is a separate event, so a new FREE ticket is required every month that you wish to attend.

We generally hold our Diaper Days on Tuesdays, and tickets are released 7 days before each event.
