This past weekend, the Houston Lone Star Diaper Bank was honored to support new and expecting families at the Community Baby Shower hosted by Harris County Precinct 2 at the Hardy Community Center. In total, we donated 100 packs of baby wipes—7,200 wipes—to help ensure families have what they need to care for their little ones.
These kinds of events aren’t just about giveaways—they’re about community, connection, and care. For many new parents, especially those navigating economic challenges, even basic baby essentials like diapers and wipes can be a financial strain. That’s where community centers like Hardy step in, creating safe, welcoming spaces for families to find support, ask questions, and feel seen.
At HLSDB, we believe no parent should have to choose between buying diapers and putting food on the table. Donations like this one are just one small way we aim to bridge that gap—but we can’t do it without you.
Whether you’re donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, your support helps us show up for more families across Houston. Let’s keep showing our littlest neighbors—and their parents—that this community cares.
