In 2023, the Naturalena Foundation—which proudly operates the Houston Lone Star Diaper Bank—made a powerful donation to support families in need across Texas. As part of its continued mission to address hygiene poverty and maternal health, the Foundation donated 790,488 baby wipes to the FEMAP Foundation in El Paso, aiding their Comenzando Bien program.
This donation reached 11 vital organizations in El Paso, including:
Each of these organizations plays a critical role in providing social services, maternal care, shelter, food, and family support in one of the most underserved regions in Texas.
As a DBA of the Naturalena Foundation, the Houston Lone Star Diaper Bank shares this commitment to supporting families across the state of Texas. While our work is centered in the Greater Houston area, this donation illustrates the Foundation’s broader reach and its ability to respond to need wherever it arises.
The Naturalena Foundation operates with a deep commitment to addressing hygiene poverty and maternal wellness. This donation was a shining example of how thoughtful giving can ripple out across communities, reaching thousands of families and reinforcing the urgent need for basic hygiene resources—not just in Houston, but statewide.
In El Paso, as in Houston, the demand for basic hygiene items like diapers and baby wipes continues to outpace supply. This donation highlights the growing need for statewide support and the critical role organizations like ours—and our partners—play in filling the gap.
We’re proud of this impactful collaboration and deeply grateful to all the organizations that helped distribute the wipes to families. Together, we are building healthier, more resilient communities across Texas.
